In February, I appeared on the CUNY-TV news magazine program, "219 West."  I was interviewed about my experiences visiting Haiti in the aftermath of the devastating January earthquake and about some of the images I took and the people I met while I was there.
In the same episode, a segment I helped report and produce ("Birds or Ballfields?") was also run.  The segment is about the Ridgewood Reservoir, a natural wetlands and forest acreage in Queens which is under consideration by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the Parks department for conversion into baseball fields and recreational facilities.
The episode can now be viewed online.  Click here to watch the show!

Less than a week after the 7.0 earthquake struck in Haiti, I landed in Port-au-Prince to volunteer on an aid mission.  I was profoundly moved and affected by the people and places that I saw.  TheTakeaway.org published my brief blog post on part of the time I spent in Haiti, at a hospital treating hundreds of victims.  To read more, click here.

I helped cover the Yankees' World Series victory parade in lower Manhattan for the Tribeca Trib.  See my photo and the article I contributed to on the Trib's website.

IrishCentral.com has published an article I co-authored with Megan Finnegan about a memorial service for forgotten 19th-century immigrants whose remains were uncovered during a courthouse construction project.  Click here to read the full story.
